John Moore Taking Extra Long Weekend. But Who's The Sub?
John Moore was complaining he had to fly to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, right in the middle of tornado alley. That means he's off - again - for the rest of the week. (Why didn't he just take the entire week off, given the July 1st holiday?)
It means there will be a substitute host on CFRB at least Thursday and Friday. I didn't hear if they announced who's taking his place, but can John Tory be far behind?

I'm thinking of another "John" who toward the end of his career was constantly away, requiring a guest host -- or hosts -- That's Johnny Carson.

I'm thinking of another "John" who toward the end of his career was constantly away, requiring a guest host -- or hosts -- That's Johnny Carson.
If the late Johnny Carson winds up sitting in for John Moore, you can bet I'll be listening! Heyo!

If it is John Tory sitting in on MITM it would be nice if it's the radio version of John Tory.
It felt like we ended up with the corporate version of Mr. Tory a couple of weeks ago. I listened for a few breaks every day but really missed the affable, friendly presence he used to bring to the show and would always end up turning the dial to another station.
He was brisk almost brusque for the most part when talking about different topics to listeners and didn't begin to sound pleasant and sociable until he had to switch his focus and begin speaking to someone in the studio at which point his speech slowed down and he sounded less clipped and more interested and human.
To be honest this John Tory surprised the heck out of me.
Previous to this I enjoyed John's guest hosting. He was on the ball, confident, had a bit of a smile in his voice and sounded like he wanted to be there.
I'll be listening to MITM to see if we get John Tory as a guest host and if it's radio Tory or corporate Tory.

One thing that does make me laugh about John Tory. When he does the handoff to Agar he deliberately pushes Agar's buttons, and Agar falls for it every time.
Tory even openly comments on how he's got to Agar and even enjoys doing it.
