I'm not sure why I did this, exactly, but it seemed like fun at the time. I went to ChatGPT, the online A.I. program, and asked it to draw me a SOWNY logo. The first one, apparently, was supposed to be transmitters and a mic. I'd say it missed the mark.
Attempt #2 included a request to add a mic and a board, as well as a fake frequency. Not exactly bowled over by that one, either.
Finally, I went to an online program called "Pixlr," which draws a limited number of free pics based on your input. Here's what it came up with.
As they used to say in Mad Magazine, "Yech!" Oh well, a fun few minutes if nothing else. We now return you to our picture-less SOWNY Board, hoping you can forget what you just saw here!

By the way, does anyone else see the irony in the ChatGPT sign-in page forcing you to prove you're human?

I wonder if ChatGPT could fool itself that way.

What's the DJ doing with his right hand...shaving his chest hair?

Gotta kill time in the studio somehow.

Those panels behind him on the walls look like the bridge of original Starship Enterprise.
Where's Uhura?

Neat-o artwork RA, stylistically ChatGPT and Pixlr (a pun on Pixar perhaps?) seems keen on the late 60's maybe early 70's.
Do you think maybe the results are deliberately wonky to lull all of us into a false sense of security?
I think it's time and the perfect weekend for a double feature movie rewatch: I Robot with Will Smith and Terminator 2.

Don't forget about "War Games," the 1983 drama with Matthew Broderick about two teens who accidentally get connected to the computer that can launch WWIII - but think it's just a video game.

The WOPR (War Operations Planned Response)...
"Greetings Professor Falken, shall we play a game?"
RA - Your Pixlr graphic kinda looks like a bunch of Heath Kits from the 70s...

I'm not sure I actually want to know! I'm told these AI programs don't do well with certain features, like human hands (often giving them six fingers or not quite looking correct.)
And no mic stand! The guy is expected to hold the microphone for the entirety of his shift?
Whatever's going on in that pic, it's not like any studio I've ever been in before!
