On Sandy Rinaldo's national newscast Thursday at 5:30 on CTV, they aired a report about an Edmonton couple trying to bring their adopted daughter to Canada from the Philippines. As they were getting to the part about the latest complication in the story (the girl has a non-cancerous tumor), the signal abruptly switched to at least 4 consecutive ads. When Sandi returned, she started on another story. No mention of what appeared to be a major screw-up. Would this have been a control room error, or a bad timer?
But Sandi mde no mention of the problem in the remaining minutes of the show. She likely wasn't even aware of it -- if it was even live.

I can't imagine it's live, as it has to be ready by 4:30 for the Atlantic feed.

That makes sense. I guess it was a control room error.

I guess we can say CTV gets worse?
