Does Anyone Remember This Oscar Winning Twilight Zone Episode?

Yes, I typed "Oscar" and it's not a mistake. Like something out of the Twilight Zone, one episode managed to win filmdom's biggest prize for Best Action Live Short.

The year was 1964, and it all happened because the show's budget was running on empty. Never heard this story before and I have to say, I wonder if this was included in the syndicated package, because I thought I'd seen every possible TZ ever made - including the hour long one-season-only shows that rarely get played. But I honestly don't remember this one at all.

Do You Remember Which ‘Twilight Zone’ Episode Won an Oscar?

I believe I've found the episode in question online - and it's free.

You can watch it here.

Thanks for the link.

Not much to see here. Arguably one of the worst TZ's I have ever watched. Unsurprising it was excluded from syndication.

Perhaps I am missing something although the premis appears to be straightforward.

Agreed. I just finished watching it and the problem is it was a French film bought to save money, and not made for the Twilight Zone, which had a very specific feel to it.

I'm glad I saw it, but without Rod Serling's narration or involvement, it just wasn't really a TZ episode.

The five minute run through the forest with snare drum noise make it even harder to watch,
