Canada's Alex Trebek Honoured On A U.S. Stamp
There's some irony in the fact that Alex Trebek started his career and maintained his ties to Canada, but it's the U.S. Post Office that will honour him with a "forever" stamp. That's postage that is always worth the maximum, no matter how high the rates to mail a letter down south go.

Not to be outdone, and no slight on Alex Trebec, Donald Sutherland got is own Canada Post Stamp last year while he was still alive to enjoy it. And he did.

I didn't know Donald Sutherland got a stamp before he died -- but gosh, what a somber portrait.
He mainly got famous for being cast in goofy or quirky roles.

Trebek's Stamp of approval officially gets released down south on Monday.
It's something to write home about.

Lucille Ball helped Alex Trebek get the hosting job for Jeopardy. She enjoyed the game show High Rollers and Alex was the host. When her good friend Merv Griffin decided to resurrect Jeopardy, she suggested Trebek to Griffin as a possible host for the revamped game show. Merv Griffin as most know was the creator and producer of Jeopardy.
