While not a Broadcast Centre, it certainly was a Music Centre; over the decades. It was once the Friars Tavern.
The Hard Rock Cafe is closing it's doors and a Shoppers Drug Mart will appear. Apparently the rent for the Hard Rock was 2 million dollars a year. Too much for them. That corner has been a bar/club and provided some great music over the years; including David Clayton Thomas & The Shays & Levon & The Hawks. As the article I read said, it's now more of a tourist destination now.

Life used to be way more fun...and entertaining...John. Now? The Friars becomes just another place to go and buy helpful legal drugs which will give you heart attacks, strokes and diahorrea/diaheria/diahheria/the shits. No wonder they can also cause depression and give you a rash. The world does come with a few disappointments.
I'm not impressed.

I miss the good old days when the SOWNY board reported things long before it became something in a newspaper or TV news.
