These WNED-TV Music Specials Are DVR Worthy

These actually all aired on Saturday night, but somehow I missed them. Fortunately, it's WNED-TV, which means there are chances to see them again.

The Buffalo PBS outlet has three worthwhile music specials some here may want to see.

The first is a rebroadcast of Simon & Garfunkel's historic concert in Central Park from 1981, back when the two were still at least partially on speaking terms.

"Simon & Garfunkel perform for 500,000 fans in New York's Central Park on Sept. 19, 1981. Songs include "Mrs. Robinson," "Homeward Bound," "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Sounds of Silence."

Air date: Sat. June 8th @3:30AM and 5 PM. Length: 90 minutes

------------------

Next up is a rare tribute to the Everly Bros., called "The Everly Bros.: Harmonies From Heaven."

"The influence of Phil and Don Everly on the likes of Art Garfunkel, Keith Richards and Graham Nash, and their relationship with songwriters Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, a duo who wrote many of their hits including "Bye Bye Love."

Contains some rare footage and interviews with both brothers, and reflections on their often fractious relationship,

Air date: Sat. June 8th @2AM. Length: 90 minutes

------------------

Finally, for Rolling Stones fans, there's "The Rolling Stones: GRRR!"

"Celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Rolling Stones with a concert at Newark's Prudential Center."

Air date: June 8th, @12AM. Length: 90 minutes

------------------

Be warned: there are endless pledge breaks between segments, so DVR-ing any you might want to see will make them a lot more bearable.
