Two Local Niagara Area Personalities Leaving The Airwaves

The first is Brianne Foley, who was doing sports for CHCH News. There's no immediate word on where she's headed.

A far more familiar name, at least to me, is Yvonne Van De Wiele, who is ending a 41-year career in news broadcasting after completing stints at CKPC, CKOC, CHAM and CHML. I think she may also have worked for CKTB at some time. Her last gig was at CHTG-FM, aka The Grand.

Broadcast Dialogue reports she's leaving the station but not the business, intending to carry on with freelance voiceover work. She also has her own public relations firm, which is likely to take up more of her time.

Last weekend, it was said Brianne was going to Halifax, and I believe anchor Adam Atkinson said to a morning show. I don't know if that's Global, CTV, or someone else.

Had the pleasure of working with Yvonne briefly in the '90s when she was at CHML/Y95. Very nice lady and very professional. The best to her in her semi-retirement.

Yes, I heard this as well.  Foley will be joining Global Halifax to present weather on the Morning Show. Apparently, this is just a contract to cover a maternity leave for the regular staff presenter on the show.
