It isn't affecting Sportsnet this time, but the Roku Channel is streaming Sunday's Blue Jays-Tigers game from Detroit for free. It's part of an agreement with Roku for 15 early Sunday "lead-off" games on the channel, which is why it started at 11:30 AM. It's the latest example of streaming encroaching on cable's former major league sports turf in an increasing way.
Apple TV+ has some exclusive matches on Fridays and Roku will carry more on Sundays.
If it's still on as you read this, you're curious and you have a U.S. VPN, you can see it here. (Although considering how the Jays are playing in this series, maybe it's best to avoid it altogether!)

I was able to watch the Roku feed via my Roku streaming stick. No VPN required. The announcers were Dan Dickerson (Tigers' play by play guy on radio) and former Jay Joe Carter. They did a fine job, the Jays' level of play was a whole different story.

I have to say this surprises me. I tried tuning in this game using a VPN located in Canada on a browser just to see what would happen and a giant graphic popped up saying "not available in your area." I figured because it was on Sportsnet in Canada, it would be blacked out on all Roku devices. But your experience suggests that wasn't the case. I wonder why they were allowed to show it here.

The official MLB announcement of this partnership stipulated that there isn't supposed to be a blackout on any Roku games. I was also able to watch it live without any issues on the MLB app on my phone.
