Why Did They Cut Down The Monaghan Lumber Spot?

Normally any spot sends me running to change the dial, but I've always sort of liked the Monaghan Lumber "King Of The Woods" jingle. So it was with some surprise that I heard that they've cut part of it out. It now starts with "For service, selection and quality."

It leaves out the first part that started with, "Well, if you're looking for wood..."

Try as I might, the 10-year-old boy inside my head always thought that line was funny.

Grilled Cheese ends other thread by posting a link where the person asking the question likely wouldn’t get the answer they looking for. Don't reply if you're going to keep doing this. It's getting old. Try as you might, you can't stop people from asking questions on a message board. People other than you enjoy discussion. Stop trying to stifle it.

I heard the Monaghan Lumber spot on the radio yesterday with the opening line intact.

It could have simply been the copy was too long and a call was made to cut the jingle vs the insert...  I doubt it was much of anything other than that.

I personally find the jingle hard to understand because how how it has been produced back in the day.
