I know Bell owns CTV, so they promote the sh**t out of CTV programs on 1010, but I am getting tired of the annoying promo for the TV show Tracker. Also it is inaccurate in describing the show. It says the main character is "a loner." He is not, Colton Shaw has an entire team that works with him on his cases. Plus the female lawyer, and possibly old flame, who won't let him alone.
and BTW, although I enjoy the show as pure escapist entertainment, it gets more and more implausible with every episode.
He parachutes into dense bush wearing only a T shirt and jeans and a small backpack.
But somehow when he finds the missing woman he produces a huge set of ropes, cables and pullies to get her out of a ravine.
Later he gets shot in the shoulder, but luckily has some tea bags to stuff in the wound -- then he's good to go and fight the bad guy.
Oh well, it's just a TV show.

What other TV promos are annoying? I can’t really think of one.

CBS and CTV are both promoting Tracker a lot. It is a bonafide hit and should be wrapping up the first season fairly soon. Season one has had 12 episodes since it came on mid season. Didn't know that it is filmed in beautiful British Columbia and has a few Canadian cast members but as far as I know CTV or no Canadian film company is involved.
I have noticed that many of the promos for Law and Order Toronto have been promoting the episode coming up later in the week and not a generic promo like CTV or Global do. CBC will often promote their shows this way as well.

To answer haydenmatthews14.... How about the promo for The Masked Singer with that squeeky voice that yells, "WHO'S BEHIND THE MAAAASK????!!"

Actually, the CTV radio promo for Tracker bugs me, especially the line that promises the show "will leave you breathless."
Hyperbole is one thing, but that's a bit much. It's a popular and OK show and the biggest new network hit of the about-to-end season, but breathless? Not even close.
