Meta is...meh. Canadians Turn Instead To Broadcasters Sites For News

Nobody seems to be talking or even caring much about Meta's continuing ban on Canadian news.  Seems that Canadians are just using online sources from broadcasters more and more.  From Broadcast Dialogue..

Re: Meta is...meh. Canadians Turn Instead To Broadcasters Sites For News

Meta is blocking Canadian users from seeing almost any news links around the world and not just those from Canadian sources. I'm on more than one broadcasting-related Facebook group, plus one of my college profs is now living in the UK, and anytime they post a news link, it's geoblocked here, even with a VPN on other countries.

I follow a couple of US-based news sources and the BBC, and I noticed this when I was in California and Mexico recently. Suddenly my Facebook feed was showing news from CNN, CBS and ABC News and the BBC, instead of endless ads and posts from influencers I couldn’t care less about.
