rogers is testing a new format for its pvr display (in selected markets) with the gta being one of those markets. so that might not be newsworthy, but the fact some subscribers discovered that all of their recordings have been wiped out (as a result of the 'test") might be worth a mention. i know of 2 people who experienced that surprize. i guess they can always find those missing shows on the internet (and get closer to maxing out their rogers' internet monthly download cap).

apparently, this has happened to many a roger's subscriber with a pvr in the gta. so much so that roger's are in damage control and have postponed expanding this new pvr format to the rest of the country. i'm sure these subscribers will seek some sort of compensation. beta testing with existing subscribers can equal a huge disaster. you'd think they'd know better.
