I'll admit it's a pretty bizarre idea for a Mother's Day contest - explaining on air why your little darling is a horrible brat and win a getaway from the mini-monster. CFRB is giving away a one night stay in a Toronto hotel and a spa day for hard pressed mom, by submitting a story of how awful her kids are.
It's a nice prize, but hopefully, it won't leave a permanent scar on the offspring, when mom tells the entire city how much she can't stand being around them!
According to the contest entry page:
"Regale us with stories of your kids being brats, or epic parenting fails. We’ll read some of the stories on-air to let other moms know they’re not alone, and our favourite story will win one mom some much needed peace and quiet!"
I'm sure a future psychiatrist will hear about this one day from the kid as an adult!

And the grown up kid will recount how mommy dearest used to beat them with a coat hanger.

My mom kept a fly swatter on the top of the fridge... my brother was very well acquainted with the fly swatter...

I guess it was a hit last year, so they've brought this contest back - rewarding mothers for telling all of Toronto what horrible brats their kids are. Not sure I'd want that on air, but there you go.
And check out how they've phrased this year's promotion on their website. You can't make this stuff up.
"Let’s face it, being a mom is tough, and kids can be jerks. Sometimes the best Mother’s Day gift you can receive is some time away from those a*******."
I'm not sure mom would approve!

Is there a 'Jiffy-App' for parenting?
