Excellent article in the NY Times yesterday on how CNN president Joe Zucker originally launched Trump's media career when Zucker was head of NBC Entertainment at the time that The Apprentice first aired on NBC. When Zucker became head of CNN, he made sure that CNN devoted much more time to covering Trump during the Republican primaries than the other candidates, knowing that a Trump victory would mean windfall ratings for CNN. Does Trump really hate CNN's "fake news"? This is so much BS...especially since Trump owes his success to Zucker and CNN.
Zucker should be put out of our misery. [and trumpty dumpty along with him]

Four lessons for radio: "Bearing witness", "holding government to accountability", "producing a new kind of must-see TV", "the network earned nearly $1 billion".
There are broadcasters in small towns and big cities with limited resources who manage to bear witness, hold the public accountable to the public, and in so doing, produce must-listen-to radio and must-view social media, generating more ad revenue in the process.
Discuss how we can practically do more of this, without saying "It can't be done" or "we need more money from management".
