Pure Analogue

Does anyone still go direct from mike to air in analogue? I was looking at some older CDs and noticed the ADD, DAD and AAD labeling to show buyers where pure analog still existed. And don’t forget that some albums proclaimed that no synthesizers were used to make the music. Queen were going up against Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream.

Re: Pure Analogue

I recall metal band SUNN O)))'s recent release 'Life Metal' prominently featured an 'AAA' designation (on the record only).

Edit - on a related note, record enthusiasts may be aware of a company called Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, which is known for releasing high-quality (and expensive) editions of noteworthy albums. It turns out their record releases aren't quite as analogue as their audiophile nerd consumers were led to believe.
