Bill Brioux has some rating numbers from last Sunday on the Canadian networks. The highest rated program was not in prime time but on Sunday afternoon on TSN. Yes, curling is a big draw for viewers, granted an older demo but still impressive. The Canadian ladies won the title which also helps.
Numbers for the JUNO Awards have been updated now with 672,000 viewers on CBC and an additional 471,000 tuning in on CBC radio one and CBC music. CBC estimates that 170,000 people in Canada and around the world streamed the broadcast many on CBC GEM.
The JUNO's were on at the same time as American Idol which had 175,000 viewers on City tv and a repeat of The Voice.
