Hail to the (Canadian) chief

Brian Mulroney is going to have a state funeral.
No doubt it will be carried live on TV, most probably CBC, but should it also be carried live on radio?
Again CBC English and French radio will be the most likely, but should any other radio do it?
There was a time when a funeral of this level would have been live on radio, no brainer.

Re: Hail to the (Canadian) chief

CTV, CP24 in addition to CBC News networks and main CBC network will carry the funeral live.  I wouldn't be surprised if Newstalk 1010 and AM 640 did as well.  Should they? I have no idea, it is up to them.

I would think there is a good chance that the CTV and Global main networks will cover too.  But no details of when and where the funeral is happening have been announced yet.  It's not that CTV and Global even City TV daytime programming is really that critical so if they do, it is more out of respect and a public service.
