Comedian Richard Lewis Of Curb Your Enthusiasm Fame Dies At 76

He was in an episode of the resurrected Larry David series this past month, and played a recurring role in "Curb" as David's friend with a conscience. Now stand-up comedian and actor Richard Lewis has passed after suffering a heart attack, the latest in a series of ailments that included Parkinson's disease. He was 76.

David, who plays an obnoxious and arrogant version of himself on the show, reveals he has a much softer side in a statement about the death of his close friend.

“Richard and I were born three days apart in the same hospital and for most of my life he’s been like a brother to me. He had that rare combination of being the funniest person and also the sweetest. But today he made me sob and for that I’ll never forgive him.”
