The companies said that less players in the industry meant more competition!
That isn’t true?? If you can’t trust Rogers to be honest who CAN you trust?

Article is pretty misleading.
Shaw Mobile was just Freedom Mobile re-branded as an MVNO and sold to Shaw customers.
The same plans are still available (and actually better) as now Quebecor-owned Freedom Mobile.
The article is trying to compare old Freedom plans to current Rogers plans, which was always apples & oranges. Bell owned site is happy to repeat this of course.

To be fair, the article is actually from The Canadian Press and appeared on a ton of other sites that subscribe to that service, including the CBC and the Globe & Mail. I just happened to pick CTV to link to, but it's all over the place.
