She's been the Sunday anchor of NBC Nightly News for the last eight and a half years. But on Sunday, Kate Snow said an early goodbye, telling viewers next weekend's show will be her last in that role.
She's decided to devote all her time to the network's "NBC News Now" streaming service, where she'll be doing the 2-4 PM hour Monday-Friday, as well as other duties. (And as bonus, she finally gets weekends off!)
No word on who will replace her on the Sunday newscast, but Variety reports there will be rotating anchors in that slot until a decision is made.

It airs every night at 6:30, seven nights a week, barring any sports overruns. It's the U.S. network news I've always preferred.
Jose Díaz-Balart, who otherwise works for the NBC-owned Telemundo Spanish network, does Saturdays.
