He was one of the nicest people at MuchMusic. I can say that having had several behind-the-scenes encounters with Bill Welychka over the years. Now the former VJ has written an autobiography about his days interviewing and interacting with some of the biggest rock stars of all time. 

The veteran host insists he never meant to put pen to paper, but it kind of just happened.  

“I started writing these stories down one day in case I forgot, because they were just hitting me—stuff I hadn’t remembered in years,” Welychka said...“And then one day, I just started writing, and the next thing I know it was taking the form of chapters. I kept at it and realized one day it was a book!”

And in true nice guy fashion, proceeds from the tome will go to various charities. Welychka ended up at CKWS-TV in Kingston for many years and now does mid-mornings at CFMK-FM (aka Big FM) in that city.
