He may not have been a household name here, but in Buffalo, he was very well known. Al Wallack was not only a member of the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the program director of the old WEBR, he was the well respected host of "Jazz In The Nighttime," a late night show that continued on the station even after it converted to all news. 

Wallack also helped mentor a ton of talent heard over Buffalo airwaves over the years and is one of the lucky few to have spent much of his career in the same market. 

He was 77.
