Could The Same Strikes That Hit Hollywood Happen In Canada?

Negotiations are just beginning with the various unions who work in the Canadian TV and film-making biz, and there's a long way before anyone here starts talking strikes. But could it happen here? The linked article is fairly comprehensive when it comes to outlining the outstanding issues, which both mirror and diverge from what caused the American walkout.

The one thing it doesn't say isn't completely clear to me: if the unions here were to strike, would that just affect Canadian productions or all the U.S. shows produced here? Hopefully, they'll reach an agreement and we'll never know the answer.
