HTZ-FM Afternoon Driver Heads For Calgary

This is a weird little blurb from a local Georgetown newspaper that doesn't have many facts. But if you're a listener to HTZ-FM in St. Catharines, it might answer a question about the disappearance of their afternoon guy.

Georgetown's Jesse 'Modz' joins Calgary radio station

Yeesh. Sounds like a bit of a demotion.

In other thoughts...I tuned into Q107 this afternoon and they're still doing psychedelic Sunday. Obviously as a soothing sonic balm for their elderly audience.

As an expert in demographics relating to radio, is it your informed opinion that Q 107 listeners comprise a more (or less) elderly listenership than that of talk radio?

I think you mean educated assumption. They're close. They're also losing hundreds of listeners per week to the Great Beyond.
