2:18AM Monday: Ashes Of Star Trek Cast & Cdn. Fan Launched Into Space

Talk about going where no one has gone before. The ashes of several cast members of Star Trek, including creator Gene Roddenberry, are taking a journey in death where they could never go in real life - deep space. A rocket will launch the remains of a number of the departed cast into the great beyond, there to stay for infinity.

"The ashes of the series' creator, Gene Roddenberry, and his wife, Majel Barrett Roddenberry, who played nurse Christine Chapel on the TV show, will be a part of the payload.

The remains also on board the Enterprise Mission include those of actor DeForest Kelley, who played Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, James Doohan, who played engineer Mr. Scott, and Nichelle Nichols, who starred as communications officer Lt. Uhura."

But it's not just the last vestige of the stars that will be headed to the stars. Beyond James Doohan, there will be another Canadian on board, as well.

Speaking of Star Trek finales, anyone remember this event? Was anyone here, there?

But, but, but...how will Christ find them during the second coming? 😇

I heard that they are having issues with the device that is supposed to actually land on the moon with this payload. It may not make it, too bad.

I heard on the news this morning that the payloads with the Star Trek ashes were in a different part of the ship and they were successfully launched before the malfunction. So at least that went right.
