Besides, not breaking your new years resolutions, there is a new Sheriff in the sports town in 2024. It is the Women's hockey league the PWHL. It begins in January and it will be vying for the attention of women hockey fans and the existing market of hockey viewers.
I wonder if in this crowded hockey landscape, if it will make it and capture the imaginations and the audience's attention for it to be viable.

I'm as far from an expert on anything sports as you can get. So with that caveat, I've found in the past that if Toronto or area teams are competitive (or even better, winning), and get involved in the playoffs, people get excited about them. Otherwise, it may go more or less unnoticed.
Toronto likes a winner. They don't often support teams that don't fit that description.
