We're all used to Canadian stations simulcasting shows with American networks. And sometimes they pre-release a U.S.-made show early, say 7:30 PM, when they have another Amnet program scheduled for later that night. (Global often does this with Abbott Elementary, and I've seen both CTV and City also do it.)

But this is the first time I've ever seen this - two different Canadian networks scheduling the same show on the same night, one hour apart from each other. This very unusual situation is listed as taking place on Friday, Dec. 22nd, when the CBC is showing a movie called "The Holiday," an Xmas flick starring Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black. It starts at 7 PM and runs until 10 o'clock.

An hour later, CTV has scheduled the exact same film, only it starts at 8PM and finishes at 11. 

Same show, same night, two different Canadian networks, and no American simulcast because it's not on in the States. 

I'm sure it's just a weird coincidence, but I've been watching this scheduling stuff for a long, long time and outside of a special like the Grey Cup - which both networks once used to televise at the same time - I can't recall this ever happening before.
