John Tory's regular Friday Moore In the Morning appearance
John Tory joined John Moore this morning during the 9:00 am hour after the first traffic report. He'll be the guest anchor personality for Fridays and as John Moore said, completes the lineup for the week.
John Moore mentioned that they're looking for a name for the segment and that John Tory didn't like any of the suggestions he'd come up with, tho Moore didn't mention any of his ideas.
I'd like to propose this name: The Two Johnnies
Kidding. Not kidding?
Anybody else have an idea on a segment name?
What are the chances John Tory ends up being the host of 1010's afternoon drive?

Tory will be doing a few Rush spots next week. I immediately figured he was testing as a replacement. Writing is on the wall as she's been absent for the last 3 weeks or so. No more Big Chair for Reshmi Nair.

I'm not a big fan but could the fact we're nearing the Christmas/New Year's holidays have anything to do with her absence? A lot of people are away.

Years ago there was a billboard I'll never forget:
On the left was a picture of John Moore with his name & time slot listed underneath.
On the right, a picture of John Tory with his name & time slot listed underneath.
And in the middle? A memorable positioning slogan: "Two Johns. No crap."
I wish I could find a photo on the net!

How about a pic of Moore and the slogan underneath:
"When you get up in the morning, you have to go to the John. Newstalk 1010"
This is why I'm no threat to Terry O'Reilly...
