No, this isn't about CanCon or the CBC. It's the question that was asked in a MacLean's Magazine ad way back in 1945. It's hard to think of a time when the tube didn't exist here, but here's proof that people were thinking about it way back then, blaming the war on the delay.
By the way, TV did come to Canada in Sept. 1952, when CBLT signed on the air.
