    Chad Allan, early Canadian rock and roll pioneer, passes away at 80

    Not sure if this has been posted before, but I just saw a report on the Steel City Top 40 Surveys Facebook page today.

    Chad Allan, whose early rock and roll stints included fronting Chad Allan and the Expressions, which would later morph into The Guess Who, passed away on November 21, 2023 at the age of 80.

    Thanks for this, Paul.  He played an important part in the history of Canadian R&R.

    I was fortunate enough to interview Chad for my Hi-Fi Salutes television series on the Hi-Fi channel back in 2012, He was having problems with his voice then, but he was a great interview.  I can only find the teaser on youtube. Don't know if Blue Ant is still occasionally running this series (there were 28 episodes in total over two seasons).
