The streaming service told the CRTC hearings on Bill C-11 Thursday that they've already made a lot of contributions to the Canadian system, by producing dozens of shows in this country. They're asking the Commission to take that into consideration before imposing additional costs on them. 

While CRTC Chair Vicky Eatrides insists she's sympathetic, it doesn't sound like it's going to make a lot of difference in the end. "We're trying to figure out how we can put in place the framework that we need to put in place," was her response. 

Netflix urges CRTC to recognize its existing contributions to Canadian broadcasting
