Kathleen Wynne - Radio Traffic Reporter? It Might Have Been

At the end of a segment on Thursday, John Moore revealed a nugget of info from an off air chat he had with former Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. She told him she'd been offered a job as a radio traffic reporter for a station in town when she was still a teenager. He didn't identify the station, which tells me it almost certainly wasn't CFRB.

But imagine what might have been and how this province's political history could have been different if she'd accepted that job!

Sylvia Jones, Ontario Minister of Health, used to sell newspaper advertising in Orangeville. Imagine if she’d stayed in that job

Re: Kathleen Wynne - Radio Traffic Reporter? It Might Have Been

Back in the 60s I lived in the town of Mount Forest for a couple of years. That was back in the days when we still had to replace the plates on our car every year. The only place in town to go to purchase the plates was also the town's Funeral Home.

Once when I was in there the owner offered me a job as an usher. It seems my dour, humourless countenance was just the look needed for the job.

After all is said and done, more is usually said than done.

I would never go to work at a funeral home. Business is always dead.

That's because there's a lot of stiff competition.

They all got colds and passed away from thick throats and too much coffin.
