It was called AFVN (American Forces Vietnam Network) and it broadcast to U.S. troops during the war. While the story of the now legendary Adrian Cronauer, as played by Robin Williams in "Good Morning Vietnam," is now well known, a new book on the station notes there were other disc jockeys there who brought a little bit of home to the soldiers in a dangerous place.
One of them was a guy named Pat Sajak. Yes, that Pat Sajak.
“We played Top 40 music,” Sajak says in the book. “We didn’t have commercials, but we did have snappy PSAs: ‘Be sure to keep your M-16 cleaned.’ That kind of stuff. We produced our own jingles and ran tight shows.”

Hey Dale,
Great hearing these without the digitital artifacts that mine have. I feel safe taking mine down.
Feel free to pop over to the page I linked to and grab the two WEBY promos I have.
Cheers,
