At least I think it's a disgruntled employee. Or maybe its website has been hacked. Either way, two very bizarre pages turned up Thursday on the site of Hot 107.9 Atlanta, aka WHTA-FM. And I'm pretty sure management has no idea they're there. 

The station boasts it's "Atlanta's Hottest Hip Hop," and appeals to a mainly Black audience. But someone obviously isn't happy. Two pages have appeared on the station's site and it's obvious they weren't sanctioned. The first one has a headline that reads "Hit 107.9 Reveals it isn’t Black owned."  That's followed by an incomplete message that says “a Caucasian male controls what you hear on the radio. He makes alot of money, we make" and then the copy ends. 

The second page is far worse, sporting this stunning headline: Racist and Proud: Hot 107.9 Boss Keeps Workers in Check and goes on to accuse the owners of the station of being cheap and unfair to employees. 

"Radio employees in Atlanta, GA are facing a severe wage crisis. Despite the critical role they play in providing news, entertainment and emergency information to our community, their compensation does not reflect their value. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data from 2020, the median annual wage for radio and television announcers was $34,630 nationally. However, considering the cost of living in Atlanta is 1.2% higher than the national average (source: Payscale), this income is insufficient for a decent standard of living.eating its employees fairly."

It used to be an angry DJ would take his or her fury out over the air, before quitting for good. Now it appears someone has thrown their job away by posting their anger on their station's site.

I've posted the links above as well as pics of them below, because they're bound to disappear once those in charge discovers what's up there. It's not often you see something this blatant done so publicly.
