I've worked in TV news for almost 30 years and I can tell you the most unpredictable thing you can do is go live in a place where the public is wandering around behind you. Sometimes it can lead to disaster, when someone decides to make an idiot of themselves or yells something obscene as you're doing your stand-up.

And then there's the much rarer other side, when something uplifting happens. Which brings us to City TV reporter/weekend weather person Michelle Mackey, who had one such experience just before she was going live. The short video, which is charming but not earth shaking, even made USA Today.
