Lance Venta's Radio Insight notes that Townsquare's WTSS/96.1 has sort of tweaked their positioner. They're no longer Star 96.1....the station is now referring to itself as The New 96.1 (and their website now redirects to thenew961.com )and is emphasizing that it's Buffalo's Christmas station(though it's not expected to flip to holiday music for a few weeks). It's unknown as to why Townsquare made the move, though some on Radio Discussions' Buffalo/Rochester board have mentioned Townsquare might have gotten a C & D letter on the matter. If so, why do it 4 months or so into the change?
