Sean Cohan will assume leadership of Bell Media and join BCE as an executive officer November 1st. following the retirement of Wade Oosterman, which bodes the question: How much radio or TV experience have these two broadcasting gurus had? Watch for more broadcasting decisions that will boggle the mind.

Cohan has experience running A+E Networks and was most recently at Nielsen, so he does seem to have some broadcast-related experience. But make no mistake - Bell is only interested in advancing Bell's fortunes at the expense of all others (including their customers) and I don't expect that will change with this new blood in the system.

Oosterman is the founder of ClearNet and former CMO\CBO for Telus prior to Bell. Cohan comes from Neilson and A&E Networks. When you're talking about presidents of divisions you're not looking at subject matter experts. You're looking at leaders who can put together a team. In this case Cohan has the better media exposure.
