For Election Junkies Only

Both CBC News Network and CTV News Channel are covering the Manitoba election tonight.  I like to have a look at coverage for provincial elections if only to see how the local CBC and CTV affiliates handle this and how much effort they put into local coverage.

CTV had a slick opening at 9pm and seem to have a large contingent of on air people.  Their headquarters is located in studio.

CBC's opening was more historic with clips from past election nights and they have opted to anchor from the rotunda of the Manitoba Legislative Building which is an impressive structure inside.

Both networks are heavy with computer graphics and CTV has lined itself up with Environics Analytics.

Re: For Election Junkies Only

Global's coverage is being carried nationwide on CPAC, and they have David Akin in their studio. They also have a bunch of CJOB radio hosts co-hosting in the studio and in the field.

Radio-Canada is also doing a show tonight if you want to watch their coverage in French.

Citytv isn't doing anything until their news at 10 PM.

Re: For Election Junkies Only

CJOB's co-hosts are on TV while their listeners are getting the predictable "As you can see here" TV coverage.
