I've been using the unfortunate strikes in Hollywood to catch up on some shows that have been sitting on my DVR for months. One is a drama called "Accused," based on a British series adapted for American television.
In an episode that on aired April 11th of this year, Toronto was doing a pretty good job of filling in for New York City, where this particular episode was set. In fact, I wasn't even aware this show was produced here until a scene made me stop and rewind a few frames to make sure I saw what I thought I'd seen.
As an NYPD cop car stops the main protagonists in the episode, check out the sign clearly visible in the background. As you can tell, it doesn't say WABC! An interesting cameo from an old radio friend that many of us were raised on.

They can blur that out if desired, I suppose...

There'd be no reason to blur it out. since it wouldn't mean anything to 99.9% of the American audience. I just thought it was interesting that it showed up even though it was set in The Big Apple. A nice little Easter Egg for GTA viewers. I wonder how many even noticed?

The entire series was filmed in the GTA and surrounding area. One episode has scenes filmed at the gas station at Coppin's Corner, just outside of Goodwood where another world famous made in Ontario series was filmed. No Schitt.
