Roger Petersen spent years as a reporter at CityNews, before taking over as main 11 PM anchor when Mark Dailey passed. (He once told me always loved the job, but he "never wanted to get it this way" because of the death of his co-worker.)
He excelled there until Rogers cut him in one of their big purges back in 2020, and went to an "anchorless" newscast.
Now he's back after time away working for a PR firm, joining CTV News Channel as one of their weekend anchors.
Good for Roger. He's a really good guy and I'm happy he's landed back doing what he loves.

Rogers purged all of their talent and wonder why their newscasts are bottom of the barrel. Roger Peterson was a great anchor and will continue to do so with CTV, good luck!

Roger is the only person I've ever met who once lived on a boat full time and he loved it.
For me, that would be a no-go. After all, your backyard is always flooded!
