Why More People Are Being Forced To Use Closed Captioning Watching TV
I found this video to be pretty revealing about why you often can't hear dialogue while watching a TV or streaming show - and why more and more viewers are being forced to turn on the closed captioning.

I've read that many younger people turn on captioning because it's on by default for social media video, especially TikTok. It's how they expect video to work.

I use closed captioning when my parents are sleeping so I don’t wake them up when the volume is low. But however my only issue with closed captioning is that it is off sync during live local newscasts. Does anyone know why that happens?
