As long as the current Subway sandwich radio ad is running, featuring a stunningly annoying 'Canadian' character spouting 'That's some top shelf cheddar, Bud!', plus other equally insulting stereotypical blather, Spence Diamonds will have to take a back seat in the 'Worst Commercials on Radio' sweepstakes. Once the promo is over, I fully expect them to regain top spot.

I agree, a horrible spot and very annoying, especially when it runs almost every break.
Subway? More like No Way.

Subway poster boy Jared I believe is still serving his prison sentence for pedophilia.
Yeah bud!

This is the second commercial in the last few weeks to over-extend the use of the word "Bud." There was a Subaru spot running not long ago in which two bumpkins were having a talk while out fishing and discussing their pasttime. It, too, was filled with every sentence ending in the word "Bud."
I thought Canadians were famous for their "Ehs." Since when has "Bud" become a thing? Somebody please tell me so I can become, er, Bud Wiser.

I don't know. I was raised in B.C., eh?
I do not recall anyone I knew repeatedly calling people "bud."
In fact if you look at the old SCTV MacKenzie brothers sketches they never said bud.
So it must be something that has crept into the Canadian slang lexicon in more recent times.
Sorry I can't bud en "lite" en you.
Whoops now I'll probably get boycotted for mentioning Bud Lite.
