He was on air in a host of Canadian cities, including Toronto, as well as hosting a near cross-country show on Corus. The now semi-retired Charles Adler looks back on his career as Canada Day approaches and reflects on how lucky he's been.
A Canada Day Adler beginning

Never could figure Adler out.
An old friend of mine says he worked with him way back and he was a rumpled slouching left wing hippie.
Then somehow he morphed into a hard right wing talker, with a show for a while on the defunct Ezra Levant creature Sun News network.
But I will never forget the day I heard him on CFRB talking about women who don't follow male professional sports.
He condescendingly told women they did not have to know much about a team's players.
He says they might root for them because they liker their uniforms.
He added, or you might dislike a team because you heard one of the players was gay.
I was in my car at the time and nearly drove of the road.
As far as I know nothing came of that remark.
Can you imagine what would happen if a host said that today?
