How does that happen?

At 7:40 this morning, the morning show on Global Peterborough (CHEX-TV) ran a 60-second election spot, from October 2022.

The spot was for the now incumbent Peterborough mayor.

How would that commercial even be cued up?

Well, it wasn't a one-off. They ran it again, 10 minutes later.

And, it clearly shows election day, October 24, 2022.

Weird.

So, what happens to the source that actually paid for that spot? (the proper content that should have aired, I believe I mean...)

A make good would have to be run, if the reconciliation of the traffic caught the issue.
