I haven't seen this anywhere else, but generally Broadcast Dialogue is known to be pretty accurate. I was hoping they weren't, though, as they published a brief paragraph on the passing of former CHUM DJ Russ McCloud in their "Sign-Offs" section.

He was at CHUM through a number of its format charges and is the third longest serving jock in its history, having hung on through all the tumult of the death throes of 1050 as a music station. 

It's not officially on their site yet, but here's their paragraph on his passing, although there's no indication of the cause of his death. If anyone has more info, please post it here.
