The Beatles As You've Never Heard Them Before - Because It's Not Them

On the heels of the story of a "new" Beatles tune coming out using Artificial Intelligence to help rescue John Lennon's poor voice track, comes something that's perhaps even more disturbing - A.I. being used to simulate the Fab Four doing songs they couldn't possibly have done.

A company called "Retail Professional & IT Services" has put up a number of A.I. created "Beatles" tunes they could not have performed, because some of them came out long after the Fab Four broke up or were dead - like a version of Billy Joel's "Don't Ask Me Why," as if the Liverpudlians had sung it.

Then there's the tune Paul McCartney once said is the love song he wished he'd written - "God Only Knows," by the Beach Boys. Their version is somewhat odd but worth a listen just to see if you think it sounds like them.

Another sample is The Monkees' classic "Daydream Believer."

And then there's one that's too eerie even for me - it's the A.I. Beatles doing "It's Much Too Late For Goodbyes," which of course was a big hit for John Lennon's son Julian.

You can see (and hear) the entire set at this YouTube page

Frankly, I'm not sure what to think, except I'm not entirely sure I'm comfortable with any of this.

It sounds closer than the Stars on 45 efforts from 42 years ago.  I loved those medleys
