Some other worthies who got this award happen to be two people I know or have worked with or around previously - Cynthia Mulligan has been a reporter at City TV for years and is one of the nicest people you could meet.
And Tina Cortese, while not a household name, is the news director at CFMS, The Region 105.9. Another fine human being and deserving of the honour. (And if memory serves, I think Tina was once the ND at CityNews, as well.)
Congrats to both of them. It's well deserved.
