It had to be the most surreal day during the already long writers' strike in Hollywood. Especially when the scribes who pen The Simpsons scripts wound up picketing outside Fox studios. As if that wasn't enough, creator Matt Groening showed up and created some artwork just for the strikers. 

(By the way, I've often wondered - what do the people who make picket signs for a living carry when they go on strike?)
