Steve Dangle Leaving Sportsnet To Concentrate On Podcast

He'd been with the all-sports network for nine years, but won't officially be gone until the Stanley Cup finals are over.

Steve Dangle announces departure from Sportsnet after nine years

Re: Steve Dangle Leaving Sportsnet To Concentrate On Podcast

I'm not a Leaf fan (I'd rather set myself on fire) but I find him very long winded and over the top more than entertaining.

I get it that I'm not in his demographic but does what he offers qualify as analysis these days?

5 minutes of him & I was done for life

The sports betting sponsorships that SDPN has must be raking in money for Dangle and Adam Wylde. Good for them.

Sure

Let's hope they keep the number of (mostly young) lives they're helping to ruin to a minimum

I completely agree.  A guy pretending to lose his mind over every little thing is fake and tiring.

Re: Steve Dangle Leaving Sportsnet To Concentrate On Podcast

"Glynn [Dangle] quit his job at Sportsnet, while Wylde left a full-time role as co-host of the morning show at 99.9 Virgin Radio to join Blake at the podcast network. They produce 15 shows across several major sports. Hockey is the biggest, but there’s also football, basketball and Formula One content.

The company slogan is: Sports are fun. But are sports podcasts profitable?

“I certainly hope so. I quit my job to do it, and so did Adam,” said Glynn. “You can do it."
